Camping places

Everybody wants to enjoy sunshine and fresh air in summer. That is why Harran offers you designated camping sites where you can put up your tent and rest for a while. So if independent touring is your thing, you simply need to take a look at these two amazing places. The first one is located on a tiny peninsula, just off the city museum and very close to the watch tower and city walls. Emerald Pond can also be found nearby and its clear water is a tested source of drinking water.

The other camping site lies in the southern part of the Old Town, just behind the Old Canal - the remoteness of this location, far away from noises of the city, together with a scenic views it offers, makes it a charming, one-of-a-kind place. However, please keep in mind that while BBQ is allowed in both locations, campfires are forbidden.
